Acharia stimulea
Acharia stimulea - Note the braconid wasp cocoons (Family: Braconidae; Order: Hymenoptera) that are attached to the caterpillar. The braconid wasp larvae feed on the caterpillar from the inside until they're ready to emerge through small holes that they make. The purple flower bulb next to the caterpillar is a morning glory (Ipomoea purpurea).
Acharia stimulea - This is the same caterpillar as in the above photo.
